On 14th/15th June 2025 we celebrated 40 years of artistry at EBS. The building itself has been here since the 1700s. I’ve been here since 1st May 2025.
It has been a great joy to work with so many positive and creative people. Here are a few photos illustrating what a great place it is.
These are just a few of the dozens of people who came to my studio during the event and had a go at gel plate printing!
As well as providing studio spaces for local artists, EBS rents out a community hall for local arts groups. I have been delighted to lead one such group, the Wellbeing Art Group (WAG) which meets here every Thursday. The group worked with archive material (old receipts, letters etc) and images of English Bridge Studios, as well as expressing their feelings about the benefits of the group. Here is what they produced to celebrate the 40th anniversary.
We also integrated SY Open Studios with the EBS anniversary this year. The resident and visiting artists put on a great show.
